About the Role

Cathcart Technology is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a small team of Backend Software Engineers in Edinburgh. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for steering the team's growth and development, ensuring they deliver world-class products and services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, experience managing small Agile teams, and a deep understanding of architecture and systems design. You will be expected to work closely with stakeholders, including board members, to drive business objectives and make strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 6-12 Backend Software Engineers in developing and delivering high-quality software products
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize project goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement effective team management strategies to drive growth and development
  • Ensure the team adheres to best practices in software development, including code reviews and testing
  • Work closely with the team to design and implement systems architecture
