Fund Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fund Accounting Specialist to join our team at State Street. As a Fund Accounting Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee valuation for life and pension funds, ensuring all relevant checks have been made against benchmarks and reasonability reports.
- Ensure successful delivery of daily prices by agreed deadlines.
- Perform and manage cash and stock accounting vs custody reconciliations.
- Complete and review regular periodic deliverables to clients in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Deliver accurate work in accordance with deadlines and deliverables.
- Ensure line managers and others are kept aware of all issues, problems, queries, and work in progress that may impact the quality of service.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with clients, third parties, and colleagues, communicating effectively through formalized reporting and ad hoc liaison.
- Assist Team Supervisor in implementing new procedures and controls.
- Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff.
- Accountancy or business-related degree (preferred).
- Fund accounting and/or pricing experience (preferred).
- Knowledge and understanding of investment regulations (preferred).
- PC literacy and competency in the use of spreadsheets and word processing.
