Job Overview

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Site Engineer to enhance our utilities division, focusing on projects related to wastewater treatment.

Location: South Yorkshire

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time – flexible working arrangements may be considered.

Key Responsibilities

In the role of Senior Site Engineer, you will oversee the site workforce at wastewater treatment facilities. Your contributions will be pivotal in executing capital projects aimed at upgrading and enhancing the resilience of these sites.

Your daily tasks will encompass:

  • Managing Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and addressing technical inquiries, while also developing Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) and supporting short-term work schedules.
  • Submitting Technical Queries (TQs) regarding design proposals and ensuring compliance with quality control standards as per specifications.
  • Promoting and adhering to high standards of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Verifying that all materials and workmanship align with project specifications, collaborating closely with project planners and managers.
  • Coordinating the procurement and planning of equipment and materials necessary for site setup and project execution.

Candidate Profile

We are in search of a Senior Site Engineer who possesses:

  • A Civil Engineering HNC/Degree or equivalent, with substantial experience in a main contractor civil engineering setting.
  • Expertise in contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, program and risk management, as well as cost control, including forecasting and value reporting.
  • Experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing Safe Systems of Work for specific tasks.
  • A valid CSCS Card.
