Job Overview
The Retail Duty Manager is a critical position at LaplandUK, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day retail operations of our experience. This includes managing the training and engagement of our retail teams, ensuring that our stores are fully staffed and stocked, and that our teams are fully briefed and trained in their roles.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Operations
- Develop and implement retail strategies, including product, visual merchandising, and sales forecasts, to drive business growth and achieve sales targets.
- Ensure that all retail areas are clean, well-presented, and fully stocked at all times.
- Liaise with various departments to ensure seamless daily operations and maintain high-quality standards.
- Train teams to provide exceptional guest service, following LaplandUK's procedures and protocols.
Human Resources
- Conduct ongoing training and coaching to maintain service quality and improve team morale.
- Manage disciplinary issues and staff grievances in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all team members are fully briefed and informed at each change of shift.
- Monitor and report any loss prevention issues to the Retail Operations Manager.
Compliance and Quality
- Ensure that all company policies, procedures, and brand standards are understood and adhered to by all team members.
- Attend any required training sessions to maintain knowledge and skills.
- Take responsibility for executing and adhering to company statutory policies and brand standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a retail management role, preferably in a similar industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer service and team management.
