About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Psychology Teacher to join our team in York. You will play a vital role in shaping students' understanding of the mind and behavior.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cover the GCSE and A-Level psychology curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and academic achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure the delivery of a well-rounded curriculum.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Support the school's ethos and values, contributing to the development of a positive school community.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and extra-curricular activities as required.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified teacher status (QTS) with a specialization in psychology.
  • Strong subject knowledge of psychology, with experience teaching at GCSE and A-Level.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
