About the Role

We are seeking a Security Escort to join our team at Hays Construction and Property. As a Security Escort, you will be responsible for escorting contractors as they carry out maintenance work around the prison.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct full body searches for contractors as they enter and leave the prison
  • Perform tool checks to ensure contractors have the necessary equipment
  • Patrol the prison grounds to maintain security and safety
  • Ensure that health and safety standards are achieved throughout the contract
  • Monitor work and provide attention to detail

Working Hours and Remuneration

This is a temporary contract, working Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 16:00, with an hour's unpaid lunch. You will receive a premium rate of £14.00 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay, and overtime rates of £17.41 per hour for weekday overtime and £22.92 per hour for weekend overtime.

Requirements

  • No previous experience is required, as you will receive full on-the-job training
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • You must be level-headed and security conscious
  • You will be required to provide two satisfactory references and undergo full prison clearance
  • You must possess a UK driving license
