Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Radiographer to join our team at Ramsay Health Care Clinical. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services for a varied caseload, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
  • Supervise and develop junior colleagues, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.
  • Responsible for MRI safety, ensuring compliance with local rules and regulations.
  • Work within IRMER and own scope of practice, adhering to the code of conduct set out by the HCPC.
  • Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programs, contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.
  • Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers and Imaging Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the department.
  • Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose, reporting faults in line with Ramsay Health Care Clinical policy.
  • Competency in IV cannulation is essential.
  • Provide input to the review, update, and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
  • Comply with all Ramsay Health Care Clinical policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
  • Participate in General x-ray duties as well as MRI.
  • Participate in on-call rota, ensuring prompt attendance at site in the event of an emergency.

Requirements

  • BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent).
  • Postgraduate qualification and/or high levels of technical knowledge (desirable).
  • Preferably experienced in a wide variety of MRI scans, including cardiac.
  • Understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff alike.
  • Respectful towards all individuals, including staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Proactive and forward-thinking approach to work.
  • Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion.
  • Excellent communication and team-working abilities.
