Job Summary

Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Radiographer to join our community team. The successful candidate will work autonomously to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services to the community of south Shropshire.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work independently to maintain a high standard of imaging.
  • Ensure patient care, dignity, and comfort at all times.
  • Alert the referrer or arrange provision for an urgent radiological report where the image suggests an untoward or unexpected diagnosis.
  • Be familiar with the principles of clinical governance and strive to ensure and maintain high-quality patient care.
  • Ensure correct use of equipment and report all clinical incidents and faults to the team lead.

Requirements
  • DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • HCPC registration.
  • 3 years post-graduation experience.
  • Previous experience of working single-handed.
  • Previous experience of QA testing.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Skilled in plain film x-ray techniques and the use of CR, RIS, and PACS systems.
  • Knowledge of IRMER 17 regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize without supervision.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
