About the Role

Sedgwick Building Consultancy Division is seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our team. As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading numerous projects to reinstate commercial and domestic properties following damage by an insured peril.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects to reinstate commercial and domestic properties, working with a small project team and external partners.
  • Conduct technical reporting, defects diagnosis, and prepare schedules of works.
  • Administer contracts and manage projects to ensure robust control of time, cost, and quality.
  • Work closely with Loss Adjusting teams to build relationships and bring in non-insurance clients.
  • Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of building construction and relevant legislation.
Requirements
  • MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor qualification.
  • Building-related degree.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Extensive knowledge of building construction and relevant legislation.
  • Able to plan projects to ensure robust control of time, cost, and quality.
  • Experience in schedule preparation and contract administration of building projects.
  • Highly responsible and decisive, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
