We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Healthcare Insurance Claims Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for streamlining insurance processes, managing patient payments, and ensuring accurate claims processing.
Key Responsibilities- Submit and process insurance claims for patient services.
- Follow up on pending claims and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Work with insurance providers to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
- Handle patient payments, including copays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and update patient accounts.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service.
- Communicate with insurance companies to confirm coverage and address any issues.
- Update and maintain patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Prepare and manage necessary documentation for insurance purposes.
- Provide excellent service to patients regarding their insurance questions and payment responsibilities.
- Address patient inquiries and resolve billing or insurance-related issues.
- Ensure clear communication between patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational levels.
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in healthcare.
- Strong understanding of insurance processes and payment handling.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
