Hourly Rate: £15.99 – £18.00
Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm (Monday to Thursday), 8:00am – 1:00pm (Friday) - Total 37 hours per week
Role Objective
The primary responsibility of the Pattern Maker is to produce high-quality patterns, moulds, and composite components. This role is essential in supporting the CNC department to meet daily production targets while maintaining exceptional standards for our clientele.
Key Duties
- Operate Panel Saw and Disc Sander on a daily basis.
- Develop block-ups according to engineering specifications.
- Conduct inspections of components against engineering drawings.
- Perform hand finishing of patterns to a P600 standard.
- Execute repairs and shuttering of patterns as required.
- Collaborate to meet customer delivery targets without compromising quality.
- Participate in ongoing 5S and LEAN Manufacturing initiatives.
Essential Qualifications
- Strong team collaboration skills.
- Fundamental knowledge in manufacturing patterns, moulds, and composite components, particularly in automotive, aerospace, or motorsport sectors.
- Logical thinking paired with a proactive attitude.
- Excellent organizational capabilities.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Competence in interpreting basic engineering drawings.
- Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P's).
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years' experience in hand finishing components or patterns.
- Familiarity with basic measuring tools.
