Job Title: Mobile Heavy Mechanical Engineer

United Plant Services is a leading provider of engineering support and fleet management for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) within the quarry and waste industry.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Heavy Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the service and maintenance of Heavy Plant Equipment, including fault finding, planned preventative maintenance, and thorough inspections of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service and maintain Heavy Plant Equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Fault find and diagnose issues with equipment, implementing effective solutions
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance and thorough inspections of equipment
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and policies set by customers and United Plant Services
  • Ensure company vehicles are maintained to a high standard and correctly stocked
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships through high standards of service
Requirements:
  • Relevant technical qualification (NVQ level 3 in Plant maintenance or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working on Heavy Plant and machinery
  • Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles
  • Flexible and committed employee
