A reputable company is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their small finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing day-to-day transactions.
  • Customer Accounts reconciliations.
  • Credit Control – reconciling customer accounts and chasing for payment.
  • Production of customer statements on a monthly basis and reminder letters, when required.
  • Supplier Accounts reconciliations.
  • Process supplier payments and any refunds.
  • VAT Returns
  • Inputting company expenses

Key Skills Required:

  • Some supervisory experience and team leadership skills (overseeing one junior accounts person)
  • Managing processes
  • Attention to detail
  • General maths and accounting skills – either AAT level studier or equivalent
  • Experience in accounting software, specifically SAGE
  • Time management and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Confidentiality and trustworthiness
  • Data entry management
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Relevant accounting qualifications or experience
