Senior Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our team in Alton. As a key member of our tax department, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing corporate and personal tax work, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage client portfolios, monitoring commercial aspects and preparing management accounts
- Oversee corporate and personal tax work, ensuring compliance at every step
- Track job progress and billing targets to identify areas of improvement
- Monitor deadlines and work closely with senior team to ensure budgets and deadlines are met
- Oversee junior team members, including workflow management, reviewing work, and identifying training opportunities
- Use IT software, including IRIS, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks
- Support business development by scoping new service lines for your portfolio
- Work closely across departments, ensuring clients benefit from an all-encompassing service
- Deliver training and review processes to implement more efficient ways of service delivery
- Keep up-to-date on regulation changes within UK taxation
- Set an example as a hands-on and supportive Manager
- ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified
- Strong experience working in a similar tax role within practice
- Strong expertise across all aspects of taxation
- Good working knowledge of accounting software, including Microsoft Office suite
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A can-do attitude and a proactive approach towards problem-solving
- Highly organised and able to manage own workload effectively
- Confident working alongside Directors and Partners
- Motivated, enthusiastic, and able to inspire others
