About the Role

Sunbelt Rentals Careers is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team. As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business-critical applications, as well as providing technical support and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage delivery commitments within sprints to ensure timely and quality delivery of solutions
  • Design technical solution architectures to support project deliveries and scaling of solutions
  • Analyzing and planning of technical requirements for solutions
  • Review, support, and feedback on requirements for work items produced by the Business Analysis team
  • Writing and reviewing code for both functionality and standards
  • Preparing test cases and strategies for unit and integration testing
  • Overseeing the successful deployment of applications and solutions
  • Problem-solving and resolving technical issues
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments
  • Mentoring and supporting the development of more junior members within the team

About You

To be successful in this role, you will likely be in a similar position or have relevant transferable experience. You will be comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines while maintaining a professional and approachable manner. You will enjoy working as part of a team and have excellent communication skills.

Requirements

  • Expertise in C#,.NET Framework/.NET Core & ASP.NET
  • Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Proficient in T-SQL
  • A knowledge of older technologies such as ASP.NET Web Forms and Classic ASP preferred
  • Knowledge of a JavaScript framework preferable, e.g., React
  • Knowledge of UI/UX standards, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Experience integrating with other systems through web services, e.g., REST and GraphQL
  • Experience with Azure Integration technologies (Inc. App services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and API Manager Etc.)
  • Understanding of security practices
  • Agile Development methodologies
  • Good knowledge of version control and CI/CD
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps preferable
  • Good interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Good leadership skills
  • Extensive experience in web app development
  • Bachelor's Degree Level or above in a related subject (Computer Science etc.) preferred
  • Professional Certifications in relevant Technologies
