Extrusion/Press Operator Role

As an Extrusion/Press Operator at WeldFit, you will be tasked with the production of extrusions and round-up pressing for a variety of products. Your responsibilities will include ensuring equipment is maintained for optimal productivity and safety through the following duties:

  • Safety Protocols: Acquire knowledge of safety measures for press operations and respond to safety alerts efficiently.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of inspections, tests, and repairs to facilitate preventive maintenance.
  • Tool Management: Possess basic hand tools, demonstrate proficiency in measuring instruments, and install parts and machinery.
  • Machinery Inspection: Regularly examine and adjust machinery to guarantee proper operation.
  • Equipment Assembly: Reassemble machinery and evaluate performance, with a fundamental understanding of hydraulic systems.
  • Additional Duties: Carry out assigned tasks, work overtime as needed, and ensure daily maintenance of presses.

Experience Requirements: A minimum of 1 year of experience in machine operations is required.

Physical Demands: Must be capable of standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs., along with possessing high manual dexterity.

Educational Background: A High School Diploma or equivalent is necessary, along with prior experience in a comparable position.

Essential Skills: Proficiency in English reading, writing, and verbal communication, along with effective time management, basic layout comprehension, blueprint interpretation, and mathematical skills.
