Job Title: Principle Lead Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principle Lead Designer to join our team at Kier Group. As a Principle Lead Designer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and ensuring that the design delivery process is fully coordinated across all disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership for the assigned function, ensuring that best practice is applied to all stages of the project.
  • Ensure that the function under your control is seen as a centre of excellence, through in-house training, CDP, and individual staff development plans.
  • Report directly to the Technical Assurance Director, working collaboratively with the relevant Sector Lead/Region Director to manage the design and quality of a portfolio of projects.
  • Liaise with the Technical Assurance Director and Sector Lead/Region Director to ensure that all parties are fulfilling their obligations and review the design programme and processes to ensure satisfactory performance of the project and site team.

Requirements:

  • Experience undertaking site audits and carrying out VLT reviews of projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in a design role within a main contractor environment.
  • Experience of BIM level 2 projects, including COBie data, LoDM.
  • Full UK driving license.
