Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled wireless technology expert to join our team at Project People. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with our Consumer Business Group (CBG) Standards & Industry Development team in Europe, covering major global wireless organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Global Wireless Standards and Industry Development: Participate in meetings of international organizations, such as ISO/IEC JTC1 SC17, ECMA TC51, NFC Forum, Bluetooth-SIG, SparkLink Alliance, and GIIC Alliance, on behalf of Huawei CBG. Contribute to the innovation and evolution of CBG's new generation standards based on actual business requirements, standardization strategies, and independent research results.
  • Wireless Technology Insights and Analysis: Provide timely insights on wireless technologies, standards, and industry trends. Output insight reports and feedback to CBG local departments and HQ, while being responsible for defining strategies, work plans, and implementations.
  • Business Alignment and Collaboration: Collaborate closely with CBG European and HQ departments for timely business alignment, as well as for internal reporting and external presentations.
  • Innovative Applications and Pilots: Promote innovative applications, pilots, and oversee their implementation, based on Huawei wireless technologies, and novel protocol standards, for business success in Europe.
  • Industry Conferences and Research: Participate in international standards or industry organization conferences in order to make contributions and also obtain data on the latest industry/technology/standard trends.
Requirements:
  • Education: Major in wireless communications, computer science, or Internet of Things, to either a Master's or PhD degree level.
  • Insights and Analysis: Able to deliver insight reports based on policies, regulations, technologies, and market trends. Competent in giving presentations.
  • Standards: Deep understanding of technology standards, including but not limited to; RFID/NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UWB, and NearLink.
  • Academia: Good research experience with proven publications.
  • Communication Skills: Strong internal and external communication skills and collaboration abilities. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin), both oral and written.
  • Global Travel: Open to undertaking global travel as the position requires.
