About the Role

Nexere Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Game Optimization Specialist to join our team in a contract role. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance of popular games and game engines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize game engines and popular games to ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Develop plugins, Android Framework APIs, and demos to facilitate game development and improve performance.
  • Collaborate with game companies to provide insights and support on implementation and optimization.
  • Conduct research to identify ways to improve game performance and quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Expertise in commercial game engine optimizations (Unity, Unreal, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of modern C++ programming.
  • Understanding of assembly and how C++ code maps to it.
  • Experience with Android development (Perfetto, ADB, Gradle, etc.).
  • Extensive performance and memory optimization experience, proficiency with profiling tools.
  • Solid understanding of SIMD, cache coherency, branch prediction, Data Oriented Design, and multithreading.
  • Ability and desire to travel regularly to support game companies worldwide.
Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with Java and C# programming languages.
  • Experience with game development is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of Arm 64-bit architecture.
  • Experience developing multiplayer games.
  • Familiarity with Graphics APIs.
