About the Role
Mencap is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team and make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities and provide emotional support to individuals with learning disabilities.
- Work collaboratively with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
- Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with service users and their families.
- Participate in Positive Behaviours Strategies training and apply learned skills in a real-world setting.
Requirements
- A genuine passion for supporting others and making a difference in people's lives.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Contract Options
- Part-time: flexible hours based on availability up to 30 hours.
- Shift times: days (09:00-22:00) and nights (22:00-09:00).
