Our client, a leading international logistics company, is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Head of Accounts Department at their headquarters in the UK.

The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting qualifications and experience in managing UK and international accounts at a senior level. Familiarity with the transportation or freight forwarding sector is advantageous, but not essential.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Managing all accounts-related tasks for the UK and providing support to the global accounts team.
  2. Building and maintaining key relationships with banks, tax compliance advisors, auditors, insurers, and key suppliers.
  3. Managing working capital and planning cash allocations across the group.
  4. Group tax planning and adherence to transfer pricing.
  5. Identifying and mitigating financial risks, including credit risk, forex risk, interest rate risk, and legislation.
  6. Implementing new group finance policies, processes, and controls.
  7. Preparing and reviewing monthly KPIs and financial statements.
  8. Coordinating group audits.
  9. Managing group secretarial and legal matters.

The company is currently utilizing Cargowise, a leading freight forwarding software with an integrated accounts package.
