About the Role:

As a Probation Service Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and managing the risk posed by offenders to protect victims and the public.
  • Supervising and managing offenders subject to community sentences.
  • Collaborating with other agencies to prevent crime and support victims and offenders.
  • Ensuring compliance with Probation Service policies and procedures.
  • Providing case management support to offenders.
  • Producing accurate reports and documentation.
  • Conducting prison, home, or alternate location visits.
  • Working in court settings, including completing reports and prosecuting breaches.
  • Delivering and co-leading accredited programs.
  • Carrying out safeguarding duties in accordance with agency policies.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working as a Probation Service Officer.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
