Role Overview

This role is essential in providing Quality Assurance support for our manufacturing operations in Lincoln, focusing on both Virus Production and Biological Process Manufacturing (BPM) teams. The individual will deliver on-the-floor Quality Assurance functions for virus production and formulation, filling/lyophilization/capping operations by conducting real-time batch record reviews and process checks. Reporting to the Team Leader of Quality Assurance Operations B1/Pharma, this position will frequently collaborate with manufacturing colleagues and area Team Leads.

Work Schedule: 1st shift, with potential off-shift availability as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine batch record reviews for designated support areas within set timelines, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulatory standards and product registrations.
  • Monitor reviews and releases to support metrics for the functional QA area.
  • Collaborate with QA Operations Compliance Specialists to execute and document manufacturing area process checks and audits.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

Job level is determined by years of relevant experience:

For the GJL 020-1 level:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

For the GJL 020-2 level:

  • Associate degree required.
  • At least 3-5 years of progressive experience at the OTE Lead level or higher in Manufacturing or Quality Operations.

Essential Skills and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven, capable of adhering to established procedures.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members to facilitate completion requests and reviews across all levels to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity and experience with SAP.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Background in manufacturing operations, quality operations, and/or regulatory affairs.
  • Previous experience with batch record reviews.
  • Competence in developing solutions to routine issues following established procedures.

Physical Requirements of the Position

  • Ability to lift materials weighing up to 40lbs.
  • Capability to sit, stand, and walk as needed.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
  • Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in manufacturing and packaging areas.
