Position:
MCS Quality Assurance Inspector

Compensation:
Up to £50,000 (based on experience)

Work Schedule:

As an MCS Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be instrumental in verifying that installations comply with MCS standards through thorough on-site evaluations and accurate technical documentation.

Key Areas of Expertise:
  • Air Source Heat Pump Design and Implementation
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Design and Implementation
  • Battery Storage Solutions
  • Photovoltaic System Assessments
  • Solar Thermal Systems
Primary Responsibilities of an MCS Quality Assurance Inspector:
  • Assess retrofit designs prior to on-site evaluations
  • Conduct technical inspections in line with MCS standards
  • Generate comprehensive technical reports
  • Identify and document non-conformities
  • Ensure that non-conformances align with audit requirements
  • Address client questions regarding inspection findings
  • Offer guidance in accordance with UKAS standards
  • Review clients' quality management systems at their main office
  • Mentor and train fellow technical inspectors
Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications for an MCS Quality Assurance Inspector:
  • MCS Awareness Training
  • GDA or DEA or equivalent (Retrofit Assessor)
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification
  • Relevant NVQ/qualifications for each applicable measure
  • Health and Safety Certification (e.g., IOSH or NEBOSH)
  • A1 Assessor Qualification
Competencies:

Recognized electrical qualifications and awareness of health and safety protocols. Additional qualifications include recognized heating and hot water systems, as well as MCS technology.

Experience and Skills:

Preferred Attributes for the MCS Quality Assurance Inspector:
A minimum of two years in the Eco Industry, expertise in design and installation technologies, and proficiency in domestic property assessments, risk evaluations, and method statement formulation.

Strong relationship-building skills, meticulous attention to detail, customer service orientation, and the ability to manage complex tasks effectively. A collaborative team player with strong problem-solving capabilities.
