The primary objective of this position is to assist the Site / Account Manager by ensuring that the site is overseen proficiently and that the designated cleaning standards are upheld and sustained.
Role Summary

To support and aid your Site / Account Manager in their responsibilities. To guarantee that cleaning staff are adequately trained and that records are accurately maintained. To ensure compliance with site regulations and Company policies. Communicate with customers/clients as necessary. Perform personal cleaning tasks and provide coverage for cleaning duties as needed. To oversee staff to ensure that specified cleaning and operational standards are consistently met, reporting any issues to the Site / Account Manager. Collaborate with the Site / Account Manager to confirm that appropriate cleaning materials and equipment are utilized. Welcome, orient, and train new or relief cleaners, ensuring they comprehend their roles and complete training documentation to maintain accuracy. Monitor attendance and punctuality of staff; inform the Site / Account Manager immediately of any relief needs and any deviations from Company/Region reporting procedures. Ensure all personnel wear the correct company uniform, exhibit professionalism, and represent the company positively. Notify the Account Manager promptly of any vacancies and assist in the recruitment of cleaners. Regularly update and review the site communications log, taking action as required. Submit necessary paperwork, including timesheets, punctually on a weekly basis. Order cleaning supplies and ensure their availability on-site in designated areas. Supervise and coordinate periodic project work (if applicable) and any additional tasks agreed upon with the client. Assist with monthly quality audits and implement corrective measures as needed. Ensure familiarity with site documentation and maintain its currency. Support the Site / Account Manager in their duties and undertake any additional responsibilities as required. Participate in training as necessary and appropriate. Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by the client/company.Health and Safety Responsibilities

If operating machinery or driving, you must inform the company if you are taking medication that may impact your safety or that of others. To cooperate with the company, ensuring you receive training to perform work activities safely. If you identify a need for further training or have safety concerns, you must inform the company. To understand and adhere to all company training, safe working practices, and Health and Safety policies. To ensure that staff receive a comprehensive induction that provides the necessary information, instruction, supervision, and training to carry out their duties safely. To facilitate communication and provide feedback as necessary. To ensure that all equipment under your control is maintained in a safe condition. To ensure that any expectant staff member is referred to their line manager for an appropriate risk assessment related to their duties. To ensure that all accidents, incidents, and health issues arising from work are reported and documented. To regularly inspect and monitor work areas for unsafe conditions. To ensure that any subcontractors engaged by the company on a site for which you are responsible have the appropriate method statement and risk assessment for their activities. To regularly review health and safety arrangements with your line manager for effectiveness. To ensure compliance with all company safety policies. To inform the Site / Area Manager immediately of any non-compliance or issues. To be fully aware of individual and reporting staff responsibilities regarding the Company's Health and Safety Policy Statement. To inform the Site / Account Manager immediately of any workplace accidents and complete the necessary documentation. To be responsible for the safe use and care of equipment and materials, wearing appropriate protective clothing as provided.Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
Contribute to the development and implementation of the overall ethos/work/aims of the company. Work in accordance with the company's policies. Reside within commuting distance of the site and be able to travel to other local sites as requested by the account manager. Be willing to work unsocial hours as necessary. Comply with safety requirements for operatives. Maintain effective and professional relationships with team members and customers. Previous supervisory experience, preferably within the cleaning sector, although not essential. Experience in delivering exceptional customer service. Demonstrate the ability to use initiative. Capable of multitasking with a methodical approach and the ability to work under pressure. Willing to work independently or as part of a team. Enthusiastic about building relationships and effectively liaising with clients and colleagues. Capable of training and coaching staff both formally and informally. Working knowledge of Health and Safety systems in the cleaning industry. Able to identify personal training needs, request training, and utilize available resources for self-development. Capable of lifting and carrying heavy equipment, furniture, and waste. Able to wear personal protective equipment as provided. An effective communicator with a good command of English. Able to plan and prioritize workload to ensure objectives are met on time. Able to identify problems and take appropriate action to resolve them. Able to follow instructions on the use of cleaning materials and machinery. Capable of maintaining a consistent standard of service in cleaning duties. Able to adhere to manual handling and health and safety regulations as required. Flexible approach to work. Understands the importance of completing projects effectively and efficiently. Uses judgment to know when to seek help and guidance. Takes responsibility for personal work and demonstrates initiative. Records information accurately and pays attention to detail.
