Farm Originals Restaurants is a unique blend of British fine dining and cherished family traditions, infused with a hint of Scottish ruggedness and Provenal elegance. We are excited to announce the expansion of our offerings to include a new deli shop.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Deli Manager/Assistant Store Manager to lead our team and ensure smooth operations. If you have a passion for food, excellent leadership skills, and experience in deli or food retail, we would love to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong product knowledge, contributing innovative product ideas to enhance our offerings.
  • Manage stock levels, including ordering and maintaining optimal volumes of stock to meet customer demand.
  • Oversee the merchandising of shop floor displays, ensuring they are visually appealing and well-stocked to create an engaging customer experience.
  • Lead and inspire a team, providing training and guidance to ensure top performance and exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain cost control measures to optimize productivity, minimize waste, and ensure healthy profit margins.
  • Handle key holder responsibilities, including opening and closing the store, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations by maintaining accurate records and implementing best practices.
  • Schedule staff effectively to ensure coverage and operational efficiency, meeting the needs of our customers.
  • Collaborate with the store manager to manage the cookery school, including organizing and overseeing classes to enhance customer engagement.
  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience by ensuring high standards of service and product quality, exceeding customer expectations.

Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 1 year of management experience, preferably in a deli or food retail setting, with a proven track record of success.
  • Hands-on experience with food preparation, including sandwiches, salads, and other menu items, with a focus on quality and presentation.
  • Strong knowledge of charcuterie, cheese, and other deli products, with the ability to make informed recommendations to customers.
  • Barista skills and experience in preparing quality coffee beverages, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Expertise in food safety practices, including HACCP, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team development, customer service, and operational efficiency.
