Acorn by Synergie is collaborating with a leading engineering coating firm seeking a Thermal Coating Applications Specialist.

This role involves close collaboration with production teams, sales personnel, and clients, focusing on the design, development, application, and validation of thermal spray coating technologies and associated processes.

Compensation: Salary up to £45,000 based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
To engineer thermal spray coating solutions that align with client specifications.

  • Develop coating application techniques suitable for ongoing production, adhering to established New Product Introduction (NPI) protocols.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors or in-house machinists to create related machining and finishing processes.
  • Utilize Solidworks to design fixtures and tooling that promote efficient and error-free manufacturing.
  • Generate manufacturing-related documentation, including images, drawings, work instructions, Bills of Material, and process routing cards, to ensure accurate and productive manufacturing while providing technical support to sales and production teams.
Qualifications:
A robust background in mechanical or a related manufacturing engineering discipline is essential.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in IT, with familiarity in Microsoft software and Solidworks. Alternative CAD experience is also acceptable.
