Our client, a reputable privately owned business in Birmingham, is seeking an experienced Oceanfreight Import/Export Clerk to join its growing team. As an Oceanfreight Import/Export Clerk, you will be responsible for working with a friendly and sociable team to ensure the smooth completion of oceanfreight shipments from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Completing oceanfreight shipments, including import and export tasks
  • Quoting and following up on quotations
  • Opening and closing files, producing relevant oceanfreight documents
  • Liaising with carriers and providing first-class customer service
  • Customs Entries and attention to detail
  • Working as part of a strong team to achieve goals
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months experience in oceanfreight, import and/or export
  • Quoting and following up on quotations
  • Opening and closing files, producing relevant oceanfreight documents
  • Liaising with carriers and providing first-class customer service
  • Customs Entries and attention to detail
  • IATA certified and strong team player
