Job Description

The People Network is Seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Specialist

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cybersecurity Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Junior Cybersecurity Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of our cybersecurity strategies and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and events, conducting initial investigations and escalating as necessary.
  • Manage incident queues to ensure timely responses to security incidents.
  • Assist in the improvement of detection rules and use cases using Mitre ATT&CK and threat-informed defense.
  • Support the development and enhancement of cybersecurity processes and procedures to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Work collaboratively to maintain monitored asset baselines in client environments.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a Security Operations Centre environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft ArcSight and Splunk.
  • Basic understanding of key technologies like firewalls, VPNs, anti-virus solutions, client-server apps, and web applications.
  • Active DV Clearance is required for this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SOC-related certifications such as CREST Practitioner Intrusion Analyst or Blue Teams Level 1.
