About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training and Assessment Specialist to support our mission to train and develop educational professionals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, mentoring, and supporting apprentices in the Early Years Education sector from level 2 to level 5 and the Teaching Assistant role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct skills reviews with apprentices and employers to identify gaps and develop individualized training plans.
  • Maintain candidate records and perform workplace observations to ensure high-quality training.
  • Deliver training, including functional skills, to meet awarding body standards and assess skills and behaviours.
  • Provide tutorial support on topics such as Prevent, British Values, Personal Development, Behaviour, Welfare, Safeguarding, and additional learning needs.
  • Conduct remote webinars for apprentices and train on topics such as British Values, Prevent, mental health, well-being, career guidance, and safety.
Coordination and Support
  • Monitor candidate progress and support portfolio completion and assessments, setting timely completion targets.
  • Record and report on Additional Learning Support (ALS) and provide apprenticeship program information to employers and employees.
  • Collaborate with line managers for reviews and appraisals and supply data on programs and learners.
Administration
  • Complete documentation for signing up new candidates and tracking their progress.
  • Maintain records of candidate progress against targets and document employer visits, candidate reviews, assessment visits, and other appointments.
About You

The successful candidate will be passionate about learning, inclusive, and supportive, with strong IT skills and the ability to work with e-portfolio's.

Essential Criteria
  • Hold a qualification or have experience in the subject area.
  • Have up-to-date industry knowledge and hold Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualifications.
  • Have experience of working with employers in a training or customer relations role and able to develop strong professional relationships.
  • Strong IT skills and willingness to work with e-portfolio's and able to motivate learners and ensure they complete on time.
  • Hold a full driving licence, have own vehicle, and be willing to travel to customer sites.
Desirable Criteria
  • Hold an assessor qualification or a relevant degree.
  • Hold an IV/IQA qualification or experience of working in Further Education or a similar environment.
  • Early Years Advanced Practitioner or Management experience.
