Lift Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Lift Maintenance Technician to join our team at Schindler Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our lift equipment in the South region, covering London, Bedfordshire, and Hertfordshire.

About the Role:

  • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of lift equipment, including minor repairs and replacement of components, in accordance with approved company procedures.
  • Rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment in cases of breakdown, and check to confirm correct functioning.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and adjustments of lift installations, reinstating lift and completing service log cards and PDA.
  • Perform fault finding and diagnostic procedures using technical manuals and test equipment, restoring equipment to service.
  • Work in accordance with established Company Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current company and UK legal requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in lift servicing, maintenance, or repairs.
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in lift maintenance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Flexibility and good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills at different levels (client, inspectors, managers).
  • Full UK driving license required.
