Sister/Charge Nurse - Emergency Assessment Unit

We are seeking a qualified nurse with relevant experience to join our multi-disciplinary team as Sister/Charge Nurse on the Emergency Assessment Unit.

The Emergency Village provides urgent care to patients of all ages presenting with acute and chronic conditions, supported by specialist 'in reach' teams to deliver the most appropriate patient care pathway. As a Sister/Charge Nurse, you will work collaboratively with the existing teams to provide emergency care and management of acute and chronic conditions, ensuring the best possible outcome for all patients.

The successful candidate will have experience in managing patient care from admission to discharge, with a good knowledge of potential discharge solutions available in the community. A significant part of the role involves patient flow through the emergency village.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and direct staff management
  • Ensure efficient running of the ward, working to tight deadlines and within financial budget constraints
  • Manage patient care from admission to discharge, with a focus on discharge solutions in the community
  • Collaborate with existing teams to provide emergency care and management of acute and chronic conditions
