About the Role

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team at Heatherwood Court. This position involves working primarily night shifts to provide exceptional care to individuals with complex needs, including Autism, Learning Disabilities, challenging behaviors, physical disabilities, and Mental Health conditions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver the highest quality of care tailored to each individual's person-centered care plan, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
  • Promote a positive and respectful environment that values individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs, and those who exhibit challenging behaviors.
  • Facilitate engaging social, educational, or work activities, such as visiting family and friends, outings, shopping, and recreational pursuits based on their preferences.
  • Collaborate effectively with families, friends, advocates, external agencies, and the management team to ensure a consistent and holistic approach that meets the unique needs of each service user.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of progress, incidents, and activities.
  • Prioritize the privacy, rights, dignity, health, and well-being of all individuals under your care.
  • Contribute to general housekeeping duties, including shopping, domestic tasks, and personal care support as needed.

Your Qualifications

  • Demonstrate genuine compassion and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those you care for with patience and understanding.
  • Possess a sincere interest in working with our client group and a willingness to learn and adapt your approach to meet their individual needs.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Be flexible and willing to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and waking nights.
  • While experience in Health and Social Care is beneficial, it is not essential. We provide comprehensive training to support your development.
