Grounds Maintenance Operative Driver Job Description

Berry Recruitment is seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Operative Driver to join their team in Peterborough. As a key member of the grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of the client's grounds, including shrub cutting, hedge cutting, and litter picking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake all aspects of grounds maintenance, including shrub cutting, hedge cutting, and litter picking.
  • Operate small tools and plant, such as petrol hedgecutters and blowers.
  • Drive company vehicles (up to 3.5T) as required.
  • Ensure daily work schedules are followed and maintained to a consistent high standard.
  • Complete training in the use of equipment and safe methods of work.
  • Conduct daily safety checks on all vehicles and equipment, report defects as required, and complete maintenance tasks.
  • Liaise with members of the public, team members, managers, and sub-contractors in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  • Valid Category B driving license.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, with a Friday finish at 12:45 pm.
