Senior HVAC Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a Senior HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the HVAC Capability team in all aspects of HVAC and Building Services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our leading client as an experienced Senior HVAC Engineer. You will be responsible for delivering in Building Services design, with a focus on nuclear containment ventilation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Reporting to the HVAC Manager/Principal Engineer.
  2. Experience of working within Building Services engineering design consultancy practice.
  3. An appreciation of quality assurance and business management.
  4. An enquiring approach with a desire to explore innovative ideas whilst still understanding the need for a good commercial balance.
  5. Knowledge of nuclear standards and site procedures.
  6. Review of room data sheets.
  7. Develop HVAC Fire and Control Philosophy.
  8. Knowledge & experience in nuclear containment ventilation.
  9. Experience in the production of HVAC system design deliverables, specifying heat rejection plant (e.g., air/water cooled condensers, heat pumps and heat recovery systems of varying types).
  10. Production of system schematics / Engineering Flow Diagrams (EFDs).
  11. Use of industry standard software such as Hevacomp, Open Buildings, AutoCAD 2D/3D, Revit and Pipenet.
  12. An understanding of AutoCAD packages and its capabilities.
  13. Able to mentor junior staff, graduates and apprentices in nuclear ventilation design.
  14. Demonstrable experience in a similar role/environment, with recent relevant exposure to work in the nuclear industry.
Requirements
  1. Minimum HND in Building Services Engineering or a minimum of 10 years HVAC design experience.
  2. Available to travel short term in the UK.
  3. MS Office applications.
  4. AutoCAD.
  5. Revit.
