Job Summary

The Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS FT is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team in a rotational post. This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the chance to gain experience working in a variety of medical clinical settings, including Brain Injury Inpatients, Brain Injury outpatients, Stroke rehabilitation, and Sub Acute general medicine short stay rehab.

Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to clients with a wide range of medical conditions, including Frailty, Parkinson's, Amputees, Dementia, Falls, and Fractures. The role will involve working in specialist neuro placements, including brain injury in/outpatients and stroke rehab, and will provide the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in both general and specialist OT intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing occupational therapy services to clients with a wide range of medical conditions
  • Working in specialist neuro placements, including brain injury in/outpatients and stroke rehab
  • Developing skills and knowledge in both general and specialist OT intervention
  • Participating in an In-Service Training programme and supervising junior staff within the service
Person Specification

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • HCPC Registration
  • Occupational Therapy Degree
  • Relevant experience of the Occupational Therapy process during Fieldwork Education and Work
  • Documenting evidence of continuing professional development
