Advance Training & Recruitment Services is pleased to announce a remarkable opportunity for a Lead Signalling Project Engineer with expertise in ETCS and ERTMS. As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of a significant railway initiative.

Role Overview:
In this position, we seek a professional who possesses a comprehensive understanding of ETCS or similar communication-based railway signalling systems. The responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks, from suggesting modifications to standards for enhanced efficiency to collaborating with suppliers for the introduction of innovative products within the UK market.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and adhere to established systems and procedures to ensure a cost-effective, high-quality, and safe approach to design, construction, commissioning, and other technical activities across relevant projects.
  2. Ensure that all design and construction contracts reference appropriate Railway Group standards through the application of engineering controls and procedures.
  3. Conduct both quantitative and qualitative risk assessments using relevant techniques and procedures.
  4. Fulfill the responsibilities of the designated design and construction engineer.
  5. Execute the duties of the designated project engineer (DPE).

Essential Qualifications:

  • Technical qualifications at a minimum of HNC level or equivalent.
  • Membership in a relevant professional institution.
  • Experience in contracting environments.
  • Familiarity with the requirements for independent assessment of works.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
  • Chartered status or equivalent in the relevant discipline.
  • Awareness of environmental considerations in engineering projects.
