About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Cancer Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on cancer care and patient experience in our local population.

As a Clinical Nurse Lead, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care and providing strategic direction for cancer nurses and allied health professionals. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the implementation of national and local cancer care agendas.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cancer nursing, with experience of working at a senior level and a post-registration qualification. You will be a registered nurse with current registration and have a working knowledge of national cancer targets and their implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care in cancer services
  • Provide strategic direction for cancer nurses and allied health professionals
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to implement national and local cancer care agendas
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve cancer care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways
Person Specification
  • Registered Nurse with current registration
  • Educated to Masters level education or working towards
  • Management/Leadership certificate or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continuous practice development
  • Essential IT skills
  • Non-medical prescriber
  • Chemotherapy course or qualification
