Optometrist Job Description

A patient-centric group of independent opticians is seeking a part-time optometrist to join their well-established practice in Tunbridge Wells.

As an optometrist, you will have the opportunity to provide personalized care to patients, utilizing advanced equipment to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough sight tests for patients, lasting approximately 30 minutes
  • Work with advanced equipment, including Optomap, OCT, Tonometer, and digital slitlamp
  • Utilize the Optix computer system to manage patient care
  • Collaborate with an experienced dispensing optician to provide comprehensive eye care
  • Enjoy a high level of clinical freedom, allowing you to decide patient management and lens/contact lens dispensing
  • Work a 3-day week, including some Saturdays, with opening hours from 9am to 5pm
  • Receive a competitive salary based on experience, with benefits including staff discount, private medical insurance, and life cover
  • Participate in continuous training and development, with opportunities to acquire additional accreditations and specialisms
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
  • Ability to work as the sole optometrist
