Job Title: Community Mental Health Nurse

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills as a Community Mental Health Nurse working in a community mental health setting. You will promote and deliver evidence-based care for service users with mental health conditions in their own homes and within a variety of accommodation settings.

Main Duties:
  • Plan and deliver care for clients with enduring mental health needs, assessing and managing risks, delivering crisis interventions, and offering support with mental health difficulties.
  • Monitor physical health and support with social needs.
  • Support the Depot Clinic, Clozapine clinic, and Duty system.
  • Engage with community resources and external agencies to aid patients' recovery.
  • Administer and monitor the side effects of medication according to NMC professional standards.
Person Specification:
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience.
  • Experience of supervising junior staff.
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
