About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Guangdong Yuantian Engineering Co. in a new and exciting role within our technical department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a comprehensive list of approved raw materials and their supply chains, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer standards.
  • Manage and maintain a live specifications database for all raw materials and packaging, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments of new materials and supply chains, ensuring they meet due diligence requirements and customer specifications.
  • Establish and maintain intake acceptance criteria for raw materials, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Monitor and review raw material micro/compositional analysis results, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, policies, and standards for raw material replacement assessments.
  • Provide expert advice on raw material shelf-life extension systems and participate in assessments to maintain legality, safety, quality, and authenticity.
  • Accountable for day-to-day queries regarding live materials and supply chains, providing timely and accurate responses.
  • Provision of supply chain and raw material data in audits, challenges, and crisis situations, ensuring transparency and compliance.
  • Raise, coordinate, and close out non-conformance investigations with suppliers, including site visits as necessary.
  • Maintain due diligence records for raw material and supply chain assurance policy compliance.
  • Ensure packaging compliance approvals and maintain records, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Complete timed traceability challenges back to suppliers, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
  • Horizon scan for emerging issues that potentially impact materials used by the site, ensuring proactive measures are taken.
  • Maintain vulnerability and integrity assessments and mitigations programme, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Assess integrity status and establish mitigations programme, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer standards.
  • Conduct intake inspections of raw materials in the absence of Intake QA, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Sign off High-Risk intake checks, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide supplier data to support Export documentation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable relevant experience of working in a quality role within food manufacturing.
  • Detailed knowledge of a range of raw materials, food manufacturing processes, and a good understanding of fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of food legislation, BRCGS, and customer requirements.
  • Understanding of food defence and its interaction within raw materials, with potential to be a key contributor to this program.
  • Ability to work with IT packages including Windows 365, ERP (i.e., Sanderson Unity), and Customer Platforms.
