About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Technician to join our team at SER (Staffing) Ltd. As an Audio Visual Technician, you will be responsible for delivering, setting up, and providing support with audiovisual systems in an event environment, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in cleaning, testing, maintaining, prepping, and repairing equipment prior to an event.
  • Drive Results - Ensure a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audio-visual equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Report all Health and Safety issues to the HSE Manager or Project Manager onsite.
  • At times, the technicians will work as part of a team on larger-scale projects.
  • Deliver World Class Service - Strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
  • Values People - Maintain a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication.
  • Meet with guests on site to ensure that their needs are met, and the equipment setup is working properly.
  • Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day.
  • Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve with equipment and software issues.
  • Handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Do the Right Thing - Understand company processes, follow procedures, and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately.
  • Use the equipment sheets to determine the equipment scheduled for set up and for strike. Interact with other staff and outside vendors for equipment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role.
  • Able to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good IT knowledge.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or unaccompanied under own initiative.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure of a live event.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
