Kogan Page is a renowned publisher of specialist professional and academic books across business, management, and related subjects. We are seeking an experienced Development Editor to work on one of our business lists.
This is an ideal opportunity for a current development editor to further their career and knowledge in a supportive, innovative, and successful company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the commissioning editor to ensure books progress efficiently and punctually, working closely with authors to achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide detailed feedback to authors based on an understanding of target readership and desired reader outcomes, ensuring high-quality content.
- With support from the commissioning editor, undertake your own new editions signing target, demonstrating your ability to manage multiple projects.
- Represent and support the company at conferences and events, promoting our brand and expertise.
Experience/Skills Required:
- A minimum of 2 years development editor experience in a books, journals, or courseware environment, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and project management skills.
