We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team at a large Rolling Stock site in Derby. The successful candidate will have experience in electrical testing and commissioning of trains or aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough electrical testing and commissioning of Rolling Stock units to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  2. Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults and defects, and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal system performance.
  3. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement commissioning procedures and protocols.
  4. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  5. Monitor and report on commissioning progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical commissioning and testing, preferably in the railway or aerospace industry.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage circuits.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders.
