About the Role

A challenging and dynamic Finance Assistant position has become available at Adele Carr Recruitment, offering a unique opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve customer queries and disputes related to invoices, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of debtor balances, ensuring a reduction in debt and adherence to our debt collection policy.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with accounts/finance contacts for our clients and internal departments.
  • Ensure payments are received as per agreed payment terms, driving our campaign to get customers set up on direct debit.
  • Send copy invoices and statements of accounts to customers on request, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Complete supplier set-up forms for our clients, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Support the finance team with the monthly billing contract clients, providing exceptional administrative support.
  • Post payments onto the respective customer accounts, maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide general administrative support, including answering calls, supporting company events, and projects.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software, with a strong understanding of financial operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, with a focus on data analysis and reporting.
  • Credit control experience, with a proven track record of managing debtor balances and reducing debt.
  • AAT Level 1, 2, or 3 (desirable) or a University degree in Accounting or Finance, demonstrating a strong foundation in financial principles.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to organize and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of collaboration and teamwork.
