About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Examiner to join our team at Pearson. As a Principal Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our GCSE German assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the timely delivery of assessments and maintain high standards of quality assurance.
  • Lead and participate in standardisation and moderation activities to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the GCSE German specification and assessment criteria.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address any issues or concerns related to assessment delivery.
  • Provide training and support to Examiners and Moderators to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality assessments.
  • Monitor and report on assessment performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience in quality assurance and assessment practice, with a strong understanding of GCSE German specifications and assessment criteria.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to provide training and support to others, with a strong focus on quality and consistency.
  • High level of IT proficiency, with experience of using assessment software and systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and requirements, with the ability to ensure that all assessments are delivered in accordance with relevant standards and guidelines.
