Job Title: Chemical Process Operator

Gap Technical is seeking a skilled Chemical Process Operator to join their team at their facility in Widnes. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for operating a variety of chemical plant and equipment, following detailed process instructions, and completing process records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate chemical plant and equipment to ensure efficient and safe production processes
  • Follow detailed process instructions and complete process records to maintain accurate records
  • Control and troubleshoot multiple production processes to minimize downtime and optimize production
  • Perform simple in-process analytical testing to ensure product quality
  • Regularly handle chemicals and participate in decontamination of equipment for statutory inspections
  • Participate in First Aid training and site Emergency Response team
  • Contribute to process and EHS improvements to enhance overall performance
Requirements:
  • NVQ2 or equivalent qualification
  • Previous Loader/Operator experience, preferably in a shift work environment
  • COMAH experience advantageous
  • Basic numeracy and literacy essential
  • Basic computer skills advantageous
  • Counterbalance FLT licence advantageous
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge (5S, Kaizen & 7 wastes) advantageous
  • Manufacturing background advantageous
