Global Oil & Gas Business Development LeadWe are seeking a highly experienced and driven Commercial/Business Development Specialist to join our esteemed client's Strategy, Business Development, and Market Impact Division within their Business & Project Development Department. This division plays a crucial role in shaping the company's strategic direction by conducting market analysis, identifying growth opportunities, and driving new business ventures.
Responsibilities:- Leverage your deep understanding of the oil and gas industry to identify and evaluate promising business opportunities across various sectors, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, divestitures, and third-party outsourcing projects.
- Develop comprehensive commercialization roadmaps for new projects, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
- Conduct thorough economic and commercial evaluations of proposed ventures, assessing their feasibility and potential impact on the organization.
- Lead and support negotiations with external parties, securing favorable agreements that benefit both sides.
- Mentor and develop junior professionals within the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is highly desirable.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 15 years of proven experience in business development within the oil and gas industry.
- Exhibit a strong track record of success in conducting economic and commercial evaluations for major chemicals and refining projects.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of associated operations and the integration of assets within the energy sector.
- Demonstrate expertise in conducting technoeconomic feasibility studies.
- Have a solid understanding of venturing activities, such as commercialization, spinoffs, or joint ventures.
- Familiarity with project development processes and methodologies is essential.
