GSL Education is seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join one of our partner educational institutions in Grimsby. This role provides a unique opportunity to engage and motivate students, fostering a passion for historical inquiry and understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the national curriculum or other relevant educational standards in history, ensuring comprehensive coverage of significant historical periods, events, and themes.
  • Design and adapt educational materials, including lesson plans, worksheets, and multimedia presentations, to enhance student engagement and facilitate effective learning.
  • Maintain a disciplined and positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Evaluate student comprehension through various assessment methods, including examinations, essays, projects, and presentations, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Incorporate diverse perspectives and narratives in teaching, reflecting the experiences of various social groups and promoting inclusivity.
  • Organize and oversee extracurricular activities related to history, such as clubs, field trips, and competitions, to enrich the educational experience.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Prior experience in an educational role.
  • Original or certified copies of degree certificates relevant to teaching history.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or proof of completion of an accredited teacher training program.
  • Strong expertise in historical subjects.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
