Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer or technician to join a dynamic team at Reed as a Technical Support Specialist. As a key member of the engineering and manufacturing team, you will play a crucial role in supporting new product introduction and defining manufacturing and assembly processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product development and production.
  • Develop and maintain assembly and testing documents and instructions to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and productivity.
  • Test and validate components and systems to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Support the quality team in conducting APQP and 8D investigations to identify and resolve quality issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in low-volume mechanical manufacturing, including assembly and test experience.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications, such as a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working on development engineering programs and projects.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic components and assemblies, as well as engineering drawings and specifications.
